Custom Design
Alaric ElectroMechanics can design, prototype, and manufacture custom devices including automated instrument modules, motion control systems, environmental measurement systems, airflow control, enclosures, and small solar power systems.
We specialize in compact, portable devices, air monitoring systems, scientific instruments, and other items consisting CNC machined billet metal parts, formed sheet metal parts, plastic molded or 3D printed parts, and electronics or other controls. We can do all aspects from simple contract part design or manufacturing, to complete system assembly and testing.
Electropolishing
Electropolishing is now available in Southern Oregon. We have a production 50 Amp Esma electropolishing machine with precision tank temperature control and automatic current cycle timing.
Electropolishing (reverse electroplating) is an electro-chemical process which removes a micro layer of metal from the part surface, leaving a brightly polished and deburred finish. It also removes surface contaminants and passivates stainless steel, adding corrosion resistance. The process is capable of polishing delicate or odly shaped parts that would otherwise be difficult or impossible. More Here.
We can polish small to medium size parts up to about 17" long. We are currently set up for stainless steel, and we will be adding capability for brass & copper, aluminum, and other alloys in the future. There is no minimum parts quantity, but there is a base tank charge. Contact us to discuss your application or to get a quote.
Laser Marking & Custom OEM Product Labeling
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) arrangements are available for our manufactured air monitoring products. This can include custom marking or labeling for your organization. Our new high resolution 20W split fiber industrial etching laser can permanently mark text or artwork directly onto steel, anodized aluminum, and even some plastics parts. We can even mark on cylindrical surfaces with a rotary axis.
3D Printing
We have in-house FDM 3D printing capabilities for rapid prototype applications. Due to limitations of material properties, 3D printing is not always a viable option for production parts that will be used in outdoor environments. However, it is often an excellent option for evaluation units, test fixtures, and shortening the overall design cycle, and it has become a big part of our process. The technology and filament materials are advancing rapidly and becoming suitable for more applications every year. We design the parts in SolidWorks 3D CAD software, and process the solid models through customized slicing software to generate our own print files. We also have a network of other local shops for SLA stereolithography 3D prints when ultra-high resolution is required.
Distribution Opportunities
Distribution opportunities are available for our standard air monitoring inlets and accessories.
We can offer significant distributor discounts, OEM discounts, and quantity discounts on most of our standard products.
